StudentSecure® Insurance

What is StudentSecure insurance?

StudentSecure is international student health insurance for full-time students or scholars studying outside their home country. StudentSecure offers four levels of coverage—Elite, Select, Budget, and Smart—so you can choose the coverage and cost that fit your needs and budget.

Why do I need international student insurance?

International study can represent financial risk, and many medical insurance policies do not apply beyond the borders of your home country. A StudentSecure health plan can reduce your personal expenses if an unexpected illness or injury should occur during your study abroad program.

What are my options?

Many universities offer their own student health insurance plans. However, that is not your only option. Oftentimes, schools will let you purchase your own health coverage elsewhere as long as you provide them with proof of comparable coverage (we help you with this).

All StudentSecure plans meet many of these school requirements at a budget-friendly rate. All four plan levels meet J-1 visa requirements as well (F-1 visas do not have a health insurance requirement).

We will provide you with waiver forms and visa letters when you need to provide proof of coverage. Submit a request for either form by emailing [email protected]. We will fill out the necessary information and send copies of the completed forms to both you and your school.
