Doctors and Hospitals

WorldTrips maintains relationships with hospitals and doctors throughout the world. Many of your clients' provider selection decisions will be based on geographical location and provider specialties.

 

Preferred Provider Organization Inside the U.S.

When seeking treatment in the U.S., policyholders may reduce their out-of-pocket costs by using an independent preferred provider organization (PPO).

 

Please refer your clients to the logo on their ID card to identify their PPO network. They can find their ID card in Member Portal at https://worldtrips.my.site.com/MemberPortal by clicking "Policy Information" and then "Download Insurance ID Card."

 

 

Policyholders traveling within the U.S. who have the UnitedHealthcare logo on their ID card, as shown above, can find a doctor or hospital here.

Outside the U.S.

There is no preferred provider organization for policyholders traveling outside the U.S. These travelers may visit any provider they choose. If they cannot find a nearby provider in their destination, they may use this international provider search engine to find a doctor or hospital or contact the WorldTrips customer service team for assistance.

Q	How Do I Become Contracted with WorldTrips?

Q	Are There Any Contract Fees or Production Requirements?
A	There are no sign-up fees or minimum production requirements. We work with producers who regularly sell travel medical insurance as well as those who sell periodically.

Q	Do I Have to Carry a Health Insurance License in Every State?
A	Agents located in the U.S. must carry a resident health license. Although you do not need a license for every state, the Florida Department of Insurance does require you to hold a non-resident license to solicit business from Florida residents. Agents located outside the U.S. conducting business outside the U.S. are required to be licensed in the jurisdictions in which they are located.

Q	Can I Sell WorldTrips' Portfolio of Products on My Personal Website?
A	Yes, customized links are available to our contracted agents in both English and Spanish. These links are electronically coded to your producer ID. They will automatically recognize your account as the writing agent in real time. We will also email a purchase confirmation to you when someone makes a purchase through one of your links.

Q	How Can I Access My Personalized Product Links?
A	Log into Producer Zone using your producer number and password. Then navigate to Sales Tools > Individual Product Links from the main menu. You may copy these links into an email or integrate them into your website.

Q	How Can I View My Production?
A	Log into Producer Zone using your producer number and password. You will see a dashboard summarizing your recent production on your account homepage. Click any of the “View Details” links on the dashboard for more information on a particular category. Explore the Service Tools sub-menu for additional production detail.

Q	When and How Are Commissions Paid?
A	Commissions are paid on the 15th of every month for the previous month’s effective policies. Both paper checks and Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) are available.
